Summary: The District of Lake Country has a project for the design and construction of an Indigenous Cultural Centre & Nature Park, to be constructed at 3724 Woodsdale Road, Lake Country, BC. In February 2022, the District received submissions to a Request for Expressions of Interest (“RFEOI”) process #2022-051, whereby the District sought to gain knowledge on what architects/engineers/contractors/suppliers exist in relation to the disciplines likely required for the Project. In addition, the RFEOI sought input regarding the overall project and contract model proposed, considering the unique objectives on this project regarding support to Indigenous employees/content/programs for skills training of Indigenous Peoples. Following an evaluation of submissions received to the RFEOI, the District has made 2 key decisions regarding next steps for this project, as follows:
This Request for Proposals is issued to select the organization that will perform the Project Manager position mentioned above. Further details on the services required are detailed in Part A of this RFP. Respondents to this RFP should note that the organization selected to perform the Project Manager position (the ‘Services’ stated in Part A) may be restricted from submitting a proposal for any other contract for this project, including contracts for; architecture, landscape architecture, engineering disciplines, and construction. Such restrictions shall be at the sole discretion of the District and based on potential conflict of interest between the Project Manager position and those other contracts. Full details on the service requirements and how to submit a proposal are contained in the attached RFP document. |
