SUMMARY: Through this Request for Proposals (“RFP”), the District of Lake Country (the “District”) invites Proposals from suitability qualified and experienced companies, interested in performing restoration and repair works to the Evans Road Pedestrian & Cyclist Bridge located on Evans Road (near to the intersection with Owls Nest Road) in Lake Country, BC. Full details of the Work required is provided in Division 1, plus Exhibits A and B of this RFP. A summary of the Work is as follows: Location: The Place of the Work is the Evans Road Bridge, located on Evans Road, Lake Country BC, as shown on the Drawings and Exhibit A. Work Summary: A further description of the Work is provided in Division 1 and Exhibit B Contract Drawings. The Work to be performed by the Contractor shall generally include; replacement of timber members of the bridge, timbers railing and decking for pedestrian and cyclist activities, plus new restriction posts at the bridge entrances. Maximum Budget: the District has a maximum budget of $200,000 (excluding GST) available for this Work. Contract Time: The following are key milestone dates required for the Work:
Note: the District anticipates executing a Contract for the work on September 24, 2021. Form of Agreement: The Form of Agreement to be executed between the District and the Contractor for the Work will be the CCDC2 – 2008 Stipulated Price Contract, as modified by Supplementary Conditions. Further details are provided in Division 00 of this RFP. Further details on the requirements and how to submit a proposal are contained in the attached RFP Documents. |
