SUMMARY:

Through this Request for Proposals (“RFP”), the District of Lake Country (the “District”) invites Proposals from suitability qualified and experienced companies, for construction of the Sixth Street Pressure Reducing Valve Station and Okanagan Centre Watermain (collectively referred to as the “Okanagan Centre Watermain Replacement Project”).  This Project is primarily focused on the replacement of aging infrastructure, improving fire protection, and ensuring future demands of the system will be met. The PRV facility on Sixth St will replace the current underground PRV; and approximately 700m of watermain will be replaced from the proposed PRV, down the Sixth Street trail, and from Fourth to Seventh Street along Maddock Avenue. 

Full details of the Work required is provided in Part A of this RFP.  A summary of the Work is as follows:

Location: The Place of the Work is 6^th Street, Maddock Avenue, and 4^th Street plus associated areas, located in Lake Country, BC, as shown on the Drawings.

Maximum Budget:  No Maximum Budget is being stated for this RFP.

Contract Time: The following are key milestone dates and time restrictions required for the Work:

• The Work may commence anytime after: April 3, 2023. (Note: Mobilization to site can commence from March 27, 2023)
• Substantial Performance of the Work must be achieved no later than:  September 29, 2023
• Total Performance of the Work must be achieved no later than 20 Calendar Days following Substantial Performance.
• In order to prevent disruption to the Packing House at 11380 Fourth St; there is to be no Work on Fourth Street between the dates of June 15^th and September 15^th, inclusively. 
• While the Work may be performed at any time within the dates outlined, the total duration of onsite Work must not exceed 14 weeks, in order to minimize disturbance to the neighborhood.

Form of Contract: The Contract placed as a result of this RFP will be the MMCD (Master Municipal Construction Documents) 2019 Edition Unit Price Contract, together with supplementary conditions as detailed in Part C of this RFP.
