Description: |
SUMMARY: Through this Request for Proposals, the District of Lake Country invites Proposals from organizations that are experienced in the design, supply, and installation of playgrounds and splash parks for public recreation, for the supply of such services and work as part of the District’s project to revitalize Swalwell Park, a key recreation hub of the District’s park system located at 10070 Bottom Wood Lake, Lake Country, BC. The Design Services and Work for this project, that the District intends to award to the successful Respondent from this RFP, are comprised of two main elements as follows:
*Note: The only exception to this shall be that Shade Sail structure posts and footings (as detailed further in Part A) must be installed by the Design-Builder prior to the District completing its site preparation works for the site. Shade Sail post and footings will be installed during May to July 2025 on a date mutually agreed with the District.
Proposal to this RFP must be submitted on the basis of Elements #1 and #2 combined, as the District requires one Design-Builder to perform all Design Services and Work for both elements under one Contract. The District seeks a cohesive look and feel across both Elements, including similar colours and complimentary design. The successful Respondent from this RFP will perform the Design Services and Work (supply of equipment/materials, installation, and associated construction works) under the CCDC14 Design-Build contract. The Design Services will be based on the successful Respondent’s Proposal to this RFP process. The District seeks proposals which offer the best overall value for taxpayers and therefore Respondents are encouraged to include in their Pricing Proposal; any price discounts which would apply if supply of materials/equipment is covered under either a Province of British Columbia Corporate Supply Agreement or Canoe Procurement Group of Canada program (of which the District is a member). Further details on the requirements and how to submit a proposal are contained in the attached RFP Documents. Respondents should note that names of ‘Registered Plan-takers’ for this RFP will appear publicly in the Bids&Tenders System. |
