Summary: Through this Request for Proposals (“RFP”), the District of Lake Country (the “District”) invites Proposals from suitability qualified and experienced companies, interested in performing construction of the new Okanagan Lake Pump Station plus related UV disinfection facility and treatment upgrades. Full details on the Work required is provided in Divisions 01 to 16 of these RFP documents. A summary of the Work is as follows: Location: The location of the Work is spread across the following four sites, all of which are in the vicinity of Lake Country, BC (specific locations are shown in the Contract Drawings – Exhibit B):• Okanagan Lake Pump Station, Okanagan Centre; • UV Disinfection Facility Site, greenfield site on North side of Okanagan Centre Road West near intersection with McCoubrey Road; • Okanagan Lake Reservoir, north of Okanagan Centre Road West; and • minor Works along the 850mm diameter steel transmission main alignment between the Okanagan Lake Pump Station and the UV Disinfection Building. Schedule: Several schedule restrictions apply to the Work, as detailed further in Division 01, Section 01110 – Summary of the Work. Substantial Performance of the Work is to be achieved no later than February 28, 2021. Full details on the work requirements, specifications and drawings are provided in the attached RFP documents.
